Privacy & Terms

Plain English, no lawyer-speak. Here is exactly what coldruling collects, what it does with it, and what you can expect from the site.

Who runs this site

coldruling is a small independent fantasy football project run by one person. There is no company behind it and no team of people reading your information. Questions about anything on this page go to thejudge@coldruling.com and reach him directly.

What we collect — all of it

There are four places coldruling gets information, and that is the whole list.

1. If you make an account

We store your email address so we can sign you in, and any team setups you choose to save (a name you pick, your scoring settings, and which players are on each side). Only you can see your own saved setups.

2. If you use the “⚖️ Get the verdict first” box

That box on the homepage adds you to our list so we can tell you when new features land. It collects your email address, your first name if you give one, and — only if you choose to type one — a phone number. If you enter a phone number you also have to tick the text-message box, and we record that you ticked it and when. You do not need an account to use this box, and you do not need to be on the list to use the site.

3. If you send feedback

Signed-in users can send a note through the feedback box. We store the message and which account sent it, so we can act on it.

4. Visit counts

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count page visits, roughly which country a visit came from, and phone-versus-computer. It does not follow you around the internet and it is not tied to your name or email.

Your browser also remembers two small settings on your own device — light or dark mode, and whether The Judge’s voice is switched on. Those never leave your device.

What we don’t do

Emails and texts — and how to stop them

Joining the list is optional and you can leave it at any time. Every marketing email we send will have a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom, and we act on it promptly. You can also just email thejudge@coldruling.com and ask to come off the list — that works exactly the same and we’ll take care of it.

If you gave us a phone number, texts only go out because you ticked the consent box. Reply STOP to any text and they stop. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is never required to use coldruling.

Emails about your own account — a password reset, for example — aren’t marketing and are sent regardless, because you need them.

Want your information removed?

Email thejudge@coldruling.com and say so. We’ll delete your email address, name and phone number from the list, and your account and saved setups if you have them. No hoops.

Terms of use

coldruling’s trade values are opinions, for entertainment. They are not financial, investment, legal or professional advice of any kind. They are produced by a formula reading public NFL statistics, and formulas are wrong sometimes. Trade at your own judgment — you know your league and your team better than we do.

The site is free and provided “as is,” with no guarantee that it will be available, accurate, or up to date. We’re not responsible for what happens in your league, and there are no entry fees, contests, wagers or prizes here — it’s a calculator that gives an opinion.

Please use the site normally and don’t try to scrape it, break it, or overload it.

Not affiliated with anybody

coldruling is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, ESPN, Yahoo or Sleeper. Those names appear on this site only to describe which fantasy platforms it can read a roster from. All team names, league names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

If this page changes

We’ll update the date at the top. If something meaningful changes about what we collect, we’ll say so plainly rather than burying it.
